What is REBX?
The REB Exchange (REBX) streamlines the ethics application process
for multi-site research in Alberta. It’s a simple, easy-to-use tool,
built into the ethics application platform at your institution.
REBX is now accepting ALL multi-site studies,
including non-health, for institutions across Alberta.
Streamlined process.
Once a study or trial receives ethics approval, Participating Sites (pSites) can be added with a truncated site-specific application.
Efficient administration.
Centralized ethics documentation and communication within REBX save time and promote collaboration throughout the project.

study or trial.
Who uses REBX?
Researchers conducting multi-site studies within Alberta can use REBX to streamline ethics applications and enable collaboration between study sites.
Why REBX?
All Albertans ultimately benefit from streamlined multi-site research.
Most importantly, REB Exchange allows researchers to focus more time on conducting research by making study start up at multiple sites more efficient. This means more people can access research studies across the province, including in smaller centres where researchers may not have access to established research supports.
